Vicky Maddison


Vicky was a teacher turned Army Officer in the Royal Signals with twenty years’ experience of leadership on and off operations.  She now continues to serve as a Reservist in the Army’s Education and Training Services; recently being mobilised in response to COVID19 as a Military planner supporting the NHS and other governmental departments across Hampshire and the wider South East Region.

In 2018 Vicky established Maddison Coaching and Consulting to pursue her belief in the importance of nurturing talent to enable individuals and teams to flourish. She is a skilled operational planner with an enthusiasm for innovation and research that supports her passion to improve human performance. With an MSc in Sports and Exercise Psychology she is currently completing a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching at Henley Business School.  She also has a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy which she pursued from her interest in the power of imagery to enhance performance.

Jo Batey

Academic Supervisor and Senior Practitioner

Jo is a Senior lecturer at Winchester University and a Chartered Scientist within the Psychology division of the British Association of Sports and Exercise Sciences (BASES).  Her wealth of experience ranges from working with the British Armed Forces Mountaineering team’s record ascent of Mount Makalu in 2008 to GB’s archery Olympic development squad and other notable national and regional sports teams.  She loves working with talented athletes and providing them with the psychological skills to reach their full potential.

Matt Hill

Resilience and Wellness Coach

After spending two years in Japan at a traditional Aikido Dojo, Matt trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, before serving as a Captain in the Parachute Regiment. He is a highly regarded business leader with experience as a company director in a FTSE 100 business and owner of the ‘Systema Academy’. Matt has a fantastically calm approach to wellbeing, self-confidence and stress management. An exceptional practitioner he offers team-building and training experiences with a difference in a range of wilderness environments.

Claire Sutton

Communications Coach

Claire is a Chartered Marketer with more than twenty years marketing and communications experience in a range of industries. She’s managed teams in busy environments within the private and education sectors. She offers professional communication coaching for intrinsic teamwork as well as external communications strategies and activities. As a qualified assessor and trainer, she also has a passion for Apprenticeships.

Ben Erridge

Sports Performance Director

With an MSc in Sports and Exercise Psychology, Ben is a sports performance coach working towards BPS Chartered Sports Psychologist status. He has a wealth of experience working with children and adults with physical and learning disabilities and thrives on encouraging individuals to live as fulfilling a life as possible. His dream is to work as an applied Sports Psychologist in a Paralympic team.

Nicki Bass

Coach and mentor

A former Army Officer in the Army’s Education and Training Services, Nicki has a proven track record in leadership and resilience from her experiences within conflict zones around the world. Her focus is on developing women’s leadership and resilience, particularly in traditionally male industries. She is passionate about helping organisations get the best out of their current and future leaders and will coax individuals out of their comfort zones. She is a highly experienced Learning and Development specialist with a Masters in Occupational Psychology.

Michelle Partington

Mental Health Awareness Coach

During 23 years of exemplary service in the RAF Michelle served as an Emergency Response Paramedic on the front line in conflict zones across the world.  Her experiences led to her suffering from PTSD.  Since her retirement as a Defence Paramedic Officer she’s devoted her life to raising awareness about mental health; this has involved representing GB in the Invictus Games, public speaking, and TV documentary work.  As an MHFA England instructor she also offers Mental Health First Aid Training, bespoke training packages, workplace assessments and mediation.

Sam Brooks

Coach and Mentor

Sam is an experienced coach and mentor. A born enthusiast, absolutely passionate about assisting others with their own personal development by challenging and empowering people to achieve their goals. A former Army Education and Training Officer she is now a Team Coach on the Team Entrepreneurship Programme at the University of West England, and works as a volunteer coach with Teach First, and as a volunteer mentor with the charity Supporting Wounded Veterans.
