Maddison Coaching are delighted to announce that their first symposium, running in October, has been officially endorsed by BASES, the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
As the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK, BASES endorsement means a lot to the Maddison Coaching team. “Part of BASES’ mission is to enhance professional standards in our field,” explained business owner, Vicky Maddison. “We feel very proud to have our event recognised as contributing to those professional standards.”
Maddison Coaching specialise in improving human performance through enhanced leadership, team-cohesion, communication, inter-personal and psychological skills, whether in sport or in business. They are running a symposium that explores how imagery can be used to enhance performance and will give delegates the skills required to use effective techniques. The event is aimed at any professional who wishes to understand more about how images – or visualisation – can assist in achieving performance goals.
“We are attracting high-performers across a wide range of fields to attend this event, some of whom are BASES members. Having BASES endorsement means that these members will be able to count their attendance towards their continuing professional development,” added Vicky.
BASES-accredited Chartered Scientist Jo Batey, Maddison Coaching’s Sports Science consultant, will be the key-note speaker. Jo has worked with the Great Britain archery Olympic development squad, the Royal Navy rugby union team and the British Armed Forces Mountaineering team, amongst others, and will be exploring image theory and its practical implementation.
The event will run on 10th October at Citizen M in Central London. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
